First Aid Training Content

First Aid Protocols or Procedure For Medical Or Injury Related
Emergencies that can be Learnt with RLSS (I) in about 20 hrs.

 First Aid:
  • Loss of Consciousness.
  • Shock.
  • Cardiac .
  • Respiratory Arrest.
  • Heart Attack.
  • Internal Bleeding.
  • External Bleeding.
  • Eye, Ear & Nose .Emergency.
  • Electric Shock.
  • Seizures.
  • Choking.
  • Burns.
  • Degree of Burns.
  • The 9% Rule.
  • Chemical Burns.
  • Fractures & Dislocations .
  • Eye, Ear & Nose .Emergency.
  • Poisoning.
  • Hyperthermia.
  • Heat Stroke.
  • Heat Exhaustion.
  • Hypothermia.
  • Frost Bite.
  • Snake Bite.
  • Poisonous Bites & Stings.
  • Drowning.
  • Asphyxiation.

 TRAINING PROGRAMME:
  The above training programme is modular:
    • 6 hrs for RED.
    • 6 hrs for BLUE.
    • 6 hrs for MAGENTA.
  Total 18 hrs in all as per your convenience.

We also advise on the precautions to be taken while working in electrical / electronic environment, fighting a fire or dealing with a disasters.


Lifesaving:
To recover a drowning person and then to revive him/her, one must know how to rescue a victim from the deep and give first aid. RLSS (I) trains lifesavers in modular form:
  1. Level One : 6 hrs [Dry rescue only ‘Save without getting wet’]    +
  2. Level Two : 6 hrs [Up to non-contact tow]     +
  3. Level Three : 6 hrs [Advanced lifesaving up to contact tow, recovery from the deep and spinal injury management]
  4. Level Four : 12 hrs for Lifeguard  
Total = 30 hrs in all as per your convenience.
This is based on Bronze Medallion Standard of the Royal Life Saving Society (Commonwealth)


Training Set Up:
We will need the following at the training venue: -
  1. OHP to view training transparencies.
  2. TV & VCR to see films.
  3. PA System in case the hall / audience is large.
If you do not have these items, we can bring our own.
 Training Cost:

    First Aid:   Rs 500.00 per trainee.
    Lifesaver: Rs 700.00 per trainee.
    Lifeguard: Rs 1100.00 per trainee.

This will include tuition fees, examination, certification and life membership of the Society. We consider group discounts and give free training to the financially weaker section in our community.

 Donation :
RLSS (I) is an NGO and accepts donations under Sec 80 G.
