

About the Venue
The competition venue for the Pool events is the Vembayam Swimming Pool located at Pirappancode, approximately 20 kilometers from Thiruvananthapuram and is also the proposed venue for the National Games 2012 Water-Polo Events.
Pirappancode, Kerala
Pirappancode, a village in the Thiruvananthapuram District of Kerala, has a rich history of churning out State and National swimming champions. Many of them have gone ahead to don the National colors in various international aquatic events.
The climate of Pirappancode is tropical, which gives it pleasant weather round the year. Monsoons come to Kerala in the month of May and are active until November. During RESCUE INDIA 2011, we will be in the middle of the monsoons and can expect some heavy showers.
Kovalam Beach, the venue for the primary team selections for the 1st South Asian Beach Games, is approximately 18 kilometers from Thiruvananthapuram city and is well renowned for its spectacular panoramic sights and crystal clear waters.
Accommodation
The Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education (LNCPE) is located adjacent to the Kerala University Campus, Thiruvananthapuram, and is around 12 kms from the Main Railway Station. All athletes and officials will be accommodated at LNCPE Hostel. RLSS (I) can assist parents and guardians of the participants to book hotel accommodations at reasonable rates close to the venue.
Local Transport
Local transport by bus/car between the accommodation and venue shall be arranged by the organisers of Rescue India 2011.
Entry Fee
Entry for the Championships will be INR 1000.00 only per participant. They can participate in any number of events in their age group. The entry fees comprises of participant kit, accommodation, transport to the venues and refreshments.
Note: In case there are not enough participants for a particular event, it will be cancelled at the discretion of the organisers & some age groups may be clubbed together. The decision of the Managing Committee will be final.
