


Lifesaving Training & Certification
Lifesaving is the act of rescue, resuscitation and first aid. RLSS(I) through its programmes focuses on water safety, drowning prevention, rescue, resuscitation and first aid.
The main purpose of Lifesaving training is to prepare volunteers to assist those involved in water accidents, teaching them the basic knowledge of rescue techniques, the skills to perform them, and the judgment to know when and how to act so that they can be prepared for emergencies.
RLSS (I) trains lifesavers in modular form:
- Level One : Dry rescue only 'Save without getting wet'
- Level Two : Up to non-contact tow
- Level Three : Advanced lifesaving up to contact tow, recovery from the deep and spinal injury management
