“Rescue”,
the noble act of saving a life after a victim has drowned
or nearly drowned consists of two parts i.e. “
Recovery & Revival ” For the former you
need presence of mind, common sense, and a bit of luck. The
aim is to somehow reach out to the victim in the deep, mentally
and physically and land him ashore. For the latter, one must
have knowledge and practice. It entails an immediate and on
the spot assessment of the condition of the victim and response
of a lifesaver. Almost in all cases EAR & CPR
would require to be employed and therefore, ne ed to be practiced
and mastered. Life saving in the end is only a question of
an attitude, a lot of will and a little acumen...
