SOCIETY’S
MOTO...
"Whomsoever
you see in distress see in him/her a fellow being."
SOCIETY’S
AIM
To
encourage every Indian to believe in the above.
SOCIETY’S
MISSION
To
encourage every Indian to learn skills to help a person
in distress so that the an accident victim or person in
dire need receives immediate help from First Aiders, or

SOCIETY’S
PROGRAMME
Organise
training in first aid and lifesaving for the public.

reach out the people in schools and institutions to persuade
them to learn skills to help through our awareness and training
capsules for students, corporate employees and the general
public.

SOCIETY’S
BELIEF
1.That
a trauma victim's life is saved at the site of an accident
and not in the ICU’s where, one is brought in either dead
or alive.
2.That India needs knowledgeable bystanders trained in first
aid and trauma care in thousands to save lives.
3.That first aid & lifesaving awareness should be made a priority
in all youth organizations as our young go into harms way
all the time.
4. That the international stigma that "Life is Cheap in India"
needs to be erased as soon as possible with greater to life
in the community.
We may be a billion but deserve better than to lose
85,000 lives to road accidents, about 40,000 to general category
accidents and close to 40,000 to drowning each year. Most
of these involve young people, those in the prime of their
lives, in the age group of 15 to 35 years, individuals, who
contribute most to the society and in fact form an important
part of our GDP. What
a national loss year after year!

SOCIETY’S
DREAM
That
people volunteer in thousands to learn skills to help their
fellow being in distress.
SOCIETY’S
PRAYER
That
Mega Institutions like the Armed Forces [Army, Navy, Air
Force, Coast Guard] and Youth Organisations [Like the NCC,
NSS & SCC] introduce lifesaving programmes to instruct their
trainees in skills to help. That “Media” helps in exhorting
the public, schools, institutions and the corporate world
to join RLSS (I) venture to learn skills to help and further
the cause of lifesaving in India. HAPPILY, THE COAST
GUARD AND THE NCC HAVE ALREADY ACCEPTED RLSS (I) PROPOSALS
AND INTRODUCED FIRST AID AND LIFESAVING TRAINING IN THEIR
ORGANISATIONS.
|
|
The
main thrust of the Society is to train the youth or members
of the public in first aid and lifesaving thereby increase
the number of knowledgeable bystanders. District and national
and international Sports Events related to lifesaving are
incentives to the young to join the movement.
We have been
able to train only 6000 first aiders and lifesavers in 14
Districts in 9 States of the country since May 2000, when
we launched our venture. We need to reach 600 districts in
28 States and 7 Union/Capital Territories.
