After a brief career in the travel industry with United Airlines, Shondita has been involved with special children for the last 15 years. She has a Masters in French Literature from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, and a Masters in Psychology from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.
She has worked with the NGO, Children’s Movement for Civic Awareness which has the goal to empower children and youth with relevant knowledge, skills and competencies for active citizenship through an experiential learning process and to integrate and mainstream active citizenship education into current educational policies and practices
Shondita has also worked with special children at a special school as well as a shadow teacher to enable them to attend mainstream schools. For the last couple of years she has been working with children suffering from cancer at a paediatric cancer ward of a major hospital.
