With This Training, You Can Save Lives

The state of Andhra Pradesh has one of the longest coastlines in . Every day, thousands of people visit beaches, rivers, and lakes for recreation. However, water-related accidents can happen unexpectedly — and tragically, around 91,000 people lose their lives to drowning each year in India.

To prevent such incidents, the  (RLSS India) conducts Lifesaving Training Programs across the country, affiliated with the  (ILS), . These programs empower students, youth, and volunteers with essential lifesaving skills — preparing them to act quickly in emergencies.

🛟 What is Lifesaving?

Lifesaving is a combination of knowledge, skills, and practical techniques to save people from drowning. It includes:

• Rescuing drowning persons

• Providing First Aid

• Performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

• Ensuring safe transport to medical care

📘 What is Taught

The course combines theory and practical training:

• Water safety awareness

• Identifying dangers at rivers, lakes, and beaches

• Safe rescue techniques

• Using lifesaving equipment

• Emergency First Aid

• CPR Training
